A message from Dr Worden

After nearly 14 wonderful years at The Farmhouse Surgery, Dr Jeni Worden has retired as a GP Partner.

Dr Worden has been a much-lovedmember of the team since 2011. Her warmth and dedication have touchedmany patients, and she leaves a legacythat will continue to inspire us. She will be greatly missed, and we wish her every happiness in retirement.

We’re delighted to welcome Dr Hameez, our new female GP, who brings extensive experience and a passion for patient care. Her arrival strengthens our clinical team and increases appointment availability, helping you access care more easily while maintaining the high-quality service you expect.

We’ve updated the way you can contact us online

Our previous system, eConsult, has now been replaced with SystmConnect. You can use it to submit medical queries or administrative requests quickly and securely. All submissions are reviewed by our clinicians, who decide the urgency to ensure safe, fair care for everyone. Access SystmConnect via the ‘Contact us online’ banner on our website. Please do not use old eConsult links, as these no longer work. When you call the surgery, reception will ask the same questions as the online form so your query is assessed consistently and triaged safely.

Bowel Cancer

The NHS bowel cancer programme sends FIT tests to people at risk. These simple at-home tests can
detect early signs of bowel cancer, often before symptoms appear. If you receive your FIT test, please complete and return it – it could save your life. Early detection gives the best chance of
successful treatment. Taking a few minutes to dothe test could make all the difference for your
health.

NHS App

The NHS App makes managing your health easier and more convenient. You can book and cancel appointments, order repeat prescriptions, and access your health records securely. Download the NHS App today and take control of your health.

Staying connected helps you keep on top of your care. Using the app saves time and makes health management simple.

Warm Welcome Spaces

As temperatures drop, Warm Welcome Spaces are opening across Christchurch to offer a friendly, heated space for the community. From libraries and cafes to churches and community centres, these spaces provide warmth, company, and activities. If you’re feeling cold or lonely, visit a local Warm Welcome Space today, everyone is welcome. Taking a few minutes to connect can brighten your day and help you feel part of the community.
